Hi, newbie here! Thanks for this. Here's a series on new songs I started on Notes two weeks ago, trying to post one a day, give-or-take! https://substack.com/@willhermes/note/c-85075387

Love this and can’t wait to see others’ notes and learn. My Substack (Conversations About Friendship and podcast (Dear Nina: Conversations About Friendship) is ALWAYS about friendship. This week’s theme was about showing up even when you might say the “wrong” thing. https://substack.com/@dearnina/note/c-86672947

Three years into Substack, I am struck by the beauty that emerges from writing informed by trauma, grief, and loss.

We are human and can find incredible love and beauty in our time on Earth.

The price of this joy is that deep grief will also find us, because there cannot be one without the other.

I search to understand this yin and yang, and my role in this complicated play.

Tell me about your Substack and the highs and lows you write about.

I wrote about being a mom in recovery.

Being a mom on any terms comes with a story centuries old.

What do we do with that?

As moms. As daughters.

What if we broke that story and told our own?

What if we shattered the archetype?

What if we untethered from it and gave each other permission to be?

A new world.
